On Monday, February 3rd, a new emergency siren was installed on the grounds of the museum. Funded by Albany County and a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant, the siren is solar powered and can be tested silently. It will be programed with a variety of tones to alert to different types of emergencies, including wild fire and flood emergencies that frequently threaten the area. The siren will be one more way for emergency officials to notify our area of threats.

Thanks to all involved with this successful installation.
